How does it Work? |
The mainstay of COPS is the peer support network. This network is comprised of survivors from around the UK, willing to assist others in a practical way.
A quarterly newsletter keeps survivors informed of ongoing events, and of new developments that may be of interest to them.
Each Summer, usually on the last weekend in July COPS holds their Annual Survivors Weekend at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield. Survivors are joined by police and public to remember those officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
By drawing on the experiences of existing survivors, we can enhance the help that is available to those who suffer such loss in the future.
