Bournemouth DC dies in crash

Thirty-two year old Detective Constable Ian James Morton, of Bournemouth CID, died after his car collided with the wall of a bungalow on Sunday 26 October 2008. Ian, who was alone in his car, was travelling from his home in New Milton, Hampshire, to Bournemouth police station when the collision occurred. The bungalow was badly damaged and the two elderly occupants were shocked but otherwise uninjured. Our thoughts as always are with his family, friends and colleagues.
